Declarations of Wisdom and Understanding
Proverbs 1:7 I fear the LORD and this is the beginning of knowledge for me. I am not foolish, I do not despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 18:15 I am a person of discernment. I acquire knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out.
Proverbs 2:1-11 I am God’s son. I accept His words and store up His commands within me. I turn my ear to wisdom and apply my heart to understanding. Indeed, I call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, I look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure. Because of this, I will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, He guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. I understand what is right and just and fair—every good path. Wisdom has entered my heart, and knowledge is pleasant to my soul. Discretion protects me, and understanding guards me.
Isaiah 11:2 The Spirit of the LORD rests upon me— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD.
James 1:5-8 Today I ask you, Lord, for wisdom. You promise to give it to me liberally and without reproach. I ask in full assurance of faith, with no doubting, for I will not be like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. I refuse to doubt, knowing that the doubting man will not receive anything from the Lord; as he is double-minded and unstable in all his ways. My mind, my heart, and my actions are full of faith. I receive the fullness of my petitions and declarations. I live stable in all of HIS ways.
Colossians 1:9 I am filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.
Hosea 4:6 Neither myself, my family, nor my church will be destroyed for lack of knowledge. We will not reject knowledge, and I will not be rejected from being a priest to God.
Psalm 90:12 Thank you Lord for teaching me to number my days, that I may have a heart of wisdom.
Exodus 31:3 I have been filled with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship.
James 3:13 I have been made wise and understanding. I live this by good conduct, and my works display the meekness of wisdom. I do not have bitter envy or self-seeking in my heart, and I do not boast and lie against the truth. Where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But I live in the wisdom that is from above. The wisdom that is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
Psalms 119:66 Thank you Lord for teaching me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments.
